On Tuesday 5 April, WTC Metz-Saarbrücken was pleased to host its second Focus Côte d'Ivoire webinar: Testimonials from French and German companies in Côte d'Ivoire. This online conference is part of a series organised by the World Trade Center Metz-Saarbrücken, the World Trade Center Abidjan and NET Opportunity to promote the economic destination of Côte d'Ivoire and its business opportunities.

It was an opportunity to discover the many business opportunities that Côte d'Ivoire can offer in the tourism and hotel sectors, e-commerce, energy, health, construction and many other sectors. This country, whose economic fabric is growing rapidly, offers real benefits to the French and German companies present with us yesterday. 

They were present among us:

- Mr Bruno ROTH, President of the Lorraine Committee of French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCEF).

- Mr Tom HALGASCH, Director of Das Labor. GmbH, a start-up from Potsdam (Germany) that invests in medical laboratories in West Africa. Another area of activity is the production of high-quality rapid medical tests.

- Mr Frank THEEG, CEO of Authentic.network. The Chemnitz (Germany) based company has developed a blockchain-based authenticity certification. This can guarantee unique protection against counterfeit products and documents.

- Mr. Salvatore Furnari, President of the Heracles Safety and Security H2S Group and Managing Partner of the Heracles West Africa Group, who spoke to us in particular about the work culture in Côte d'Ivoire.

This series of webinars has a dual purpose:

- Informing companies from France, Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium about business opportunities in Côte d'Ivoire

- Promotion of the second delegation of companies that will take place during the *SITIC AFRICA ABIDJAN 2022, an international trade fair for information and communication technologies that will be held at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire from 30 May to 1 June 2022.

In order to prepare the participating companies and partners of WTC Metz-Saarbrücken for West Africa, and in particular the Ivory Coast, we propose to benefit from the expertise of professionals from the Ivory Coast and its promising sectors of activity.
